DAVENPORT CHINOISERIE BLUE TRANSFER PLATTER This 16-1/2" by 12-1/4" pearlware platter was made in Staffordshire by Davenport around 1820. It is printed in medium blue with a Chinoiserie pattern that is really more of a transitional pattern between Chinese patterns and English patterns. Although the foliage appears Chinese, the buildings and people look quite English! Other than a tiny flake at the very edge of the platter at two o'clock, condition is excellent. CHILD'S PLATE A PRESENT FOR A GOOD BOY 1840 Children's plates like this one were made as gifts for loved children. This 3-3/4" plate is printed in black with the words "A Present For A Good Boy". The boy in questions stands by a milestone that says XXX to London. The border of the plated contains molded running dogs and flowers. Other than a 1/2" hairline at 1 o'clock, condition is excellent. This would make a wonderful gift for your good boy! Take a look at the photos for the details. The plate was probably made in Staffordshire around 1840-1850.

WEDGWOOD PEARLWARE DESSERT DISH 1825 This 8-1/4" BY 7-1/2" pearlware dessert dish was made by Wedgwood around 1825. It is impressed Wedgwood in upper case letters, and includes a painted pattern number, N1116. The pattern is printed in underglaze blue and clobbered in pink, yellow-gold, orange and green. The pattern of butterflies, birds and flowers is charming. Other than a tight 1/4" hairline at 12 0'clock, condition is excellent. Dessert dishes are useful for serving cookies, candy or nuts, or for decorating your wall. Take a look at the photos for the details.

RIDGWAY INDIA TEMPLE PITCHER AND BOWL 1830 This pearlware pitcher and bowl was made by John & William Ridgway around 1830. Although the pattern name is India Temple, the scene is definitely China! The 12-1/2" bowl is in excellent condition, while the pitcher has a 2" hairline in the spout. Appearance is still excellent. Take a look at the photos for the details.

MINTON CHINOISERIE BLUE TRANSFER SOUP BOWL Made in Staffordshire around 1820 by the Minton Factory, this 9"pearlware soup bowl is printed in medium to dark blue with a lovely pattern known as Fisherman. Although the pattern resembles a Chinoiserie pattern, it is more of a transitional pattern, with its English looking people, dogs and flowers. Take a look at the photos for the details. NEW HALL PORCELAIN TEAPOT BOY & BUTERFLY 1820 Made by New Hall around 1820, this porcelain teapot is painted with a pattern known as Boy and Butterfly. The lovely silver-shaped teapot is in excellent condition. Other than minor roughness to the end of the spout, there are no chips, cracks or repairs. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. The pattern number is painted on the bottom of the pot. The steam hole is at the top of the finial!

GRAZING RABBITS BLUE TRANSFERWARE MUG 1820 Grazing Rabbits is a popular pattern. You usually see it on bowls, platters and plates. It is much less uncommon to find it on a mug. This 3" high mug is printed in medium to dark blue with this charming pattern. Condition is excellent. The transfer is a wrap around, so you see the whole pattern. The border is inside the rim. LOVE CHASE BROWN TRANSFERWARE JUG 1820 This 7" pearlware jug is printed in cafe au lait brown with the charming print known as "The Love Chase". The wrap around transfer tells the story of Atalanta and the golden apples. Cupid, Venus, golden apples. What a wonderful story! However, I doubt I'd want one of my sons to marry Atalanta! There is a repair to the spout. A chunk has been out and glued back in. Other than that, condition is excellent. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. The jug was probably made in Staffordshire around 1820.

It is printed in medium to dark vibrant blue with hibiscus flowers surrounding a geometric reserve. The border contains stylized flowers against a diamond shaped fence alternating with four different oriental buildings. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. Condition is excellent. RIDGWAY BLUE TRANSFERWARE PLATTER BIRDS This lovely pearlware 16-1/2" by 13-1/2" platter is printed in medium and light blue with a pattern entitled Etruscan Shield. I'm not sure what the shield is all about, but things Etruscan were all the rage in the 1830s. The birds are in a shield-like cartouche interspersed with roses against a milles fleurs background. The border has feather-like flourishes and more flowers. This is a gorgeous pattern! The edges of the platter are gently scalloped. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. Condition of the platter is excellent. The platter was made in Staffordshire around 1835.

Each size and shape in this series has a different group of fruit and flowers in the center surrounded by a floral border. This platter has a melon and grapes as well as roses in the center. They are all nestled against a stippled background. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks or repairs. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. The platter was made by Stubbs in Staffordshire around 1825.
