MINIATURE GAUDY WELSH SPILL VASE 1840-1860 This miniature Gaudy Welsh spill vase is 3-1/4" high and 2-1/2" at the top ( its widest point). The pattern is Asian which decorates both the outside and the inner lip of the vase ( a building block design). The vase is blue underglaze as well as orange, pink lustre and copper lustre. Condition is excellent. It was probably made in either Staffordshire or Wales between 1840 and 1860.

The delicate flowers seem to swirl around the saucer and cup in shades of orange, green, and lustre over underglaze blue. The pattern number on the back appears to be 64. The condition of this circa 1840-1860 cup and saucer is excellent. They were probably made in either Wales or Staffordshire.

GAUDY WELSH DRAPE PATTERN C/S C1860 Drape is a richly colored pattern. The shades of orange, green and lustre are painted over two shades of underglaze blue. The actual "drape" looks a bit like a stylized spider web to me. This is a truly luscious pattern! The pattern number on the back is 1102. Condition of this circa 1840-1860 cup and saucer is excellent.

GAUDY WELSH TEA PLATE IN A NO-NAME PATTERN This is a lovely Gaudy Welsh pattern that seems to have no name. If you know it, please tell me. The pattern is delicately painted in pinks, orange, green and lustre over a blue underglaze. Other than glaze wear to some of the lustre on the rim, condition of this 8-1/4" plate is very good. The plate was probably made in either Staffordshire or Wales between 1840 and 1860.

FORGET ME NOT SWANSEA GAUDY WELSH MUG A 3" high by 3" wide gaudy welsh mug in the lovely Forget-Me-Not pattern. The pearlware glaze suggests an early manufacture date of 1830 to 1840. The colors are orange, blue and mint green as well as pink and copper lustre. The piece is beautifully molded and condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. I was told the mug was made in Swansea, Wales.

LLANELLY POPPY GAUDY WELSH JUG CIRCA 1840 This 7-1/4" high gaudy welsh jug in the Llanelly Poppy pattern is large and colorful. It is 8-1/4" from handle to spout. It is well molded and the colors are blue, orange and green with copper and pink lustre detail. Condition is good with only a one inch hairline where the handle meets to body of the jug, minor wear on the handle and the spout and a small chip on the handle. This sounds worse than it is but I'm trying to be accurate in describing blemishes. The jug was probably made is Swansea, Wales in 1840.
