IRONSTONE 11 PIECE DESSERT SERVICE C 1830 This lovely 11 piece ironstone dessert service was probably made in Staffordshire around 1830. Although the pattern number, 122, is painted on the back, the maker is unknown. The eight 8-1/2" plates and three handled cake plates are printed in underglaze blue and painted over the glaze in burnt orange, yellow, pink, and green. Condition of all of the pieces is excellent, with no cracks, repairs or chips. The service can be used for a dessert party! Take a look at all of the photos for the details.

MINTON ICE PAIL AMHERST JAPAN PATTERN 1840 If you are looking for an unusual piece of English Ironstone, this is the item for you! With its lid, the pail is about 10" high, and it is about 11" from handle to handle. The pattern is printed in underglaze blue, clobbered in orange and yellow, and gilded on the handles. The printed mark includes the pattern number, 824, and the pattern name, Amherst Japan. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration. The pail is in two pieces; the top holds the ice, and the bottom holds the fruit or ice cream. This is actually quite a useful item! Take a look at all of the photos for the details. The pail was made by Minton in Staffordshire around 1840.

MASONS IRONSTONE TEAPOT CIRCA 1840 This Masons ironstone teapot was made in Staffordshire around 1840. It is printed in blue and colored in orange, green and gold. I particularly like the way the handle has gold fish scales along its blue length. The pot stands 6-1/2" to the top of the finial and nearly 10" from the handle to the spout. The pot appears in excellent condition but there may be a repair to the tip of the spout. The pattern number on the bottom is "9873" and there is also a "B" and an "F".The Masons mark is printed in black.

IRONSTONE PLATE WITH MOLDED BORDER AND BIRD A 9" ironstone plate with a molded border printed in blue and colored in yellow, orange, pink, purple, turquoise and green. There is even gold on the leaves and scrolls. The pattern and maker are unknown to me. But, there is a pattern number--122--and a makers mark--5--which are printed in orange. Also, "IRONSTONE CHINA" is impressed on the back. Other than a minor chip under the rim which is not visible from the front, condition is excellent.
