The 11-1/2" pearlware coffee pot has a most unusual design. It has mermen with wings, otters, swans, and Pegasus who is printed under the spout. I don't know what the symbolism means but it is interesting! There is a crack in the lid which doesn't show when the lid is on the pot and a possible repair to the tip of the spout. This sounds terrible but the coffee pot shows extremely well. The age of this Staffordshire piece is around 1825. |
