This 4-1/2" Pratt pot lid was probably made between 1860 and 1880. It is well printed in five colors and depicts a charming and sentimental Victorian scene although the little girl looks a bit too impish to suit most Victorian ideas of good little girls! The lid has the title printed on the bottom and I assume Flora is either a diety or someone's mother! Condition of the face of the lid is excellent with minor dings to where the rim would have sat in the pot. This would be a great addition to either a Victorian or pot lid collection. |
