There are many names for this color transferware but purple is purple--albeit there are many shades! This 14-1/2" platter is a deep magenta. It was made in Staffordshire by the Davenport factory around 1835. The name of the pattern is "Alpine Amusements" . Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration. |
