A 9" ironstone plate with a molded border printed in blue and colored in yellow, orange, pink, purple, turquoise and green. There is even gold on the leaves and scrolls. The pattern and maker are unknown to me. But, there is a pattern number--122--and a makers mark--5--which are printed in orange. Also, "IRONSTONE CHINA" is impressed on the back. Other than a minor chip under the rim which is not visible from the front, condition is excellent. Look at the second photo to see how vibrant the colors really are. The plate was probably made in Staffordshire around 1830. I have two of these plates.
