This Masons ironstone teapot was made in Staffordshire around 1840. It is printed in blue and colored in orange, green and gold. I particularly like the way the handle has gold fish scales along its blue length. The pot stands 6-1/2" to the top of the finial and nearly 10" from the handle to the spout. The pot appears in excellent condition but there may be a repair to the tip of the spout. The pattern number on the bottom is "9873" and there is also a "B" and an "F".The Masons mark is printed in black. |
