This 7-3/4" cake or biscuit plate is in the popular Sunflower Gaudy Welsh pattern. The colors are orange, green and shades of pink and copper lustre over blue underglaze. Other than minor green loss in the "grass" area, condition is very good. The plate was probably made in either Staffordshire or Wales between 1840 and 1860. |
