A 6-1/4" by 3-1/4" pearlware feeder bottle printed in a soft blue floral pattern with dark blue swag details. This unusual piece would have been used for invalids or perhaps babies in the early nineteenth century. Condition is excellent except for a hairline which is visible on the inside and barely on the outside. There are also several tiny nicks near the spout and on the rim where liquid would be placed. Overall appearance is wonderful. The feeder was probably made in Staffordshire around 1830. Look at the last photo for a better view of the pattern. |
