Printed in apple green, red and blue under the glaze and clobbered with yellow and red over the glaze, this Victorian Chintz jug has stylized flowers that look more like 1950 than 1850! The shapes filled with dots and stripes are very unusual. The jug is 6-1/2" to the top of the handle and 6" from the spout to the handle. Condition is excellent. The jug was probably made in Staffordshire around 1840-1850. |
