This 4-1/2" pearlware plate from a child's toy dinner service is from the series known as "British Scenery". It has a very distinctive border with roses and dark leaves with white veins. The center scene is most likely a piece of a larger one with a man fly fishing in a stream. There is a small hairline at one o'clock which does not show on the front although it does go through. Appearance is excellent. The plate was probably made in Staffordshire around 1825.
