Enoch Wood & Sons did many variations on two color plates. This 8-1/4" plate is printed in chocolate brown and dark red in the popular Festoon Border Series. As the border contains suspension bridges, sometimes the pattern is called Suspension Bridges. Take a look at the photos to see the bridges as all the bridges are different. I'd love to know the name of the cathdral in the center of the plate. Condition is excellent. It was made in Staffordshire around 1835. |
