A 6" Wedgwood tile printed in shades of cafe au lait brown. This tile was difficult to photograph as it is stippled or indented to give texture to the girls' hair and clothes as well as the plant trunk and several other areas. I have not seen a Wedgwood tile quite like this one! The month is January which can barely be seen on the bottom as there is wear to the edges of the tile. Other than that, condition is quite good. The tile was made in Staffordshire around 1880. |
