Circa: 1825 Manufacturer: Davenport
Known as the Villagers pattern, this 9-3/4" plate was made by the Davenport Factory in Staffordshire around 1820. It is crisply printed in shades of blue that range from medium to dark. The pattern includes a family and their dog with the village and church in the background. The border consists of what appears to be honeysuckle, scrolls and honeycombs! I have four of these plates. Condition is excellent. |
