This eight sided 7" jug with a ruffled rim is the epitome of Victorian chintz. The pattern is transfer printed in a rich brown pattern of birds, urns flowers and leaves and clobbered in yellow, blue, pink and green. The printing extends to the handle and the inside of the rim. Condition is excellent. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. The jug was probably made in Staffordshire around 1840-1850. |
