Made in Staffordshire by Hicks & Meigh around 1820-1830, this pearlware toilet box is printed in the popular pattern "British Views". There are different views in this series. This one has a wonderful spaniel in the foreground. Let me know if you are familiar with the breed. The box was used to hold either a razor or a toothbrush. It is 6-3/4" by 2-3/4" by 1-1/2" high. The box has recently been restored. Appearance is excellent. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. |
