This 10-1/4" black transferware soup bowl soup bowl is printed in the popular pattern, Clyde Scenery. It was made in Staffordshire byt John & Job Jackson around 1835. The Clyde is a river in the Glasgow area and thus the series depicts scenes from 19th century Scotland. The center pattern is different in each size and shape in this series. There are other items from this series in my catalog so do a search if you are interested. For example, there is a large brown transferware platter. Condition of the soup bowl is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration. Take a look at all of the photos for the details.
