Although the pattern of this Victorian Chintz jug is fairly common, the color is not. It is printed in a rich, royal purple rather than magenta purple. The jug stands 5-1/2" high to the top of the handle and is highlighted in yellow and pink. Other than minor wear to the handle, condition is excellent. The handle is beautifully molded and the rim is ruffled. Take a look at the photos to see the details. The jug was probably made in Staffordshire around 1840. |
