Hunting scenes on blue transferware items are very popular. This 9" pearlware plate is printed in medium to dark blue with hunters and dogs. The birds they are hunting have escaped to the border! The plate was possibly made by Davenport in Staffordshire around 1825. Condition is excellent. I have two of these plates. Take a look at all of the photos for the details of this pattern. |
