This 12-3/4" by 9" pearlware drainer was made by Spode in Staffordshire around 1820. It is in the Forest Landscape II pattern. A drainer is an insert for a platter so that the juice from the meat can drain. Simple. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. The pattern of the drain holes is quite interesting. There is a printed upper case Spode mark on the back. |
