This filled-in transfer 3-3/4" porcelain jug was made by S & J Rathbone around 1820. It is printed in blue and painted with pink, green, orange, yellow and apricot enamels. The colors are vibrant and show no wear. There is a tiny nick to the spout and a hairline under the handle that continues onto the bottom. Appearance is excellent, and there is no danger to the integrity of the jug. The pattern is different on each side. If you like wonderful Chinoiserie items, this is the one for you! Take a look at all of the photos for the details. |
