Eastern Street Scene is a pattern that originated with the Riley factory. The works were purchased by Samuel Alcock in 1829 who, according to Coysh and Henrywood, possibly inherited the factory's copper plates. This lovely pair of 13" by 10-1/4" platters are beautifully printed in medium blue. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs. The platters were probably made around 1840. It is rare to find a pair of platter in this size and condition. |
