Manufacturer: Staffordshire Cow creamers are charming pieces of folk pottery. I rather doubt they were used as creamers, as the threat of samonella would have been great! This large cow, 8" from tail to nose and 6" to the top of the tail, is sponged in black. Her horns, ears and part of her tail have been repaired. Almost all cow creamers of this age have repairs to horns, tail and ears! There are no other repairs. Even the lid, which is usually absent, looks original. The milkmaid is sitting on a stool and has a pail. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. The cow creamer was probably made in Staffordshire around 1830. I have other wonderful cow creamers in this catalog.
