This 10" pearlware plate is beautifully printed in medium and dark blue in a pattern known as the Shipping Series. Each size and shape has ships either battling the elements or one another! The border depicting shells and seaweed is gorgeous! This would make an excellent item for your beach house. Other than a stabilization of a 2" tight hairline at about 8 o'clock, condition is excellent. Appearance is excellent also. Take a look at the photos for the details. The plate was probably made in Staffordshire around 1820.
