This large 18-3/4" by 15" platter is part of a lovely series known as Fruit and Flowers. Each size and shape in this series has a different group of fruit and flowers in the center surrounded by a floral border. This platter has a melon and grapes as well as roses in the center. They are all nestled against a stippled background. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks or repairs. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. The platter was made by Stubbs in Staffordshire around 1825.
