This 8-1/4" BY 7-1/2" pearlware dessert dish was made by Wedgwood around 1825. It is impressed Wedgwood in upper case letters, and includes a painted pattern number, N1116. The pattern is printed in underglaze blue and clobbered in pink, yellow-gold, orange and green. The pattern of butterflies, birds and flowers is charming. Other than a tight 1/4" hairline at 12 0'clock, condition is excellent. Dessert dishes are useful for serving cookies, candy or nuts, or for decorating your wall. Take a look at the photos for the details. |
