This jug is 12" to the top of the handle. It is printed in medium to dark blue in the charming pattern entitled "May Morn". It was made by J. & M.P. Bell & Co. between 1850-1870 in Glasgow, Scotland. Except for a tiny glaze flake on the inside of the lip of the spout, condition is excellent. This pattern appears on the back cover of the second Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery 1780-1880 by Coysh and Henrywood. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. |
