Manufacturer: Unknown Maker This Victorian chintz jug is 5-1/2" to the top of the handle. It is printed in purple with birds and urns that are clobbered in blue, green, yellow and pink enamel. The jug is also molded with flowers under the rim and arches around the waist. The handle is molded, printed and clobbered. The print inside the jug includes faces and people! Other than a tiny bit of staining at the spout, condition is excellent. Take a look at the photos for the details. The jug was probably made in Staffordshire around 1835-1840.
