This 20-1/2" by 16" pearlware platter is printed in dark blue with excellent contrast. It was made by the Davenport factory around 1825, and is impressed Davenport on the back. Although the scene isn't identified, it probably is an actual view. If anyone knows the view, please contact me. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks or restoration. If you have been looking for a spectacular early blue transferware platter, this is the one for you! The pattern contains cows, a horseman, people, mountains and a church/cathedral. |
