| The size of this blue pearlware bowl is unusual. It measures 8 inches in diameter and 4 inches high. The large floral pattern on the outside of the bowl and most of the inside of the bowl is from the border of a pattern entitled Monopteros. Monopteros was made by Rogers. The bottom of the bowl has a country scene, complete with fishing rods. There are some minor hairlines on the bottom of the bowl, that do not go through to the inside. There is another hairline near the bottom of the bowl that does go through. The inside bottom of the bowl does show some wear. Appearance is excellent. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. The bowl was probably made in Staffordshire around 1825-30. |
