Manufacturer: Unknown Maker Found on a 9 inch plate, this pattern is part of a series named "The Sun of Righteousness". There are only two patterns known in this series. "Speak. Lord; For Thy Servant Heareth." is from Samuel. The other pattern is pattern is entitled "St. John". The plate has a chip on the back, which does not show on the front, and a hairline (1.5") that does go through to the front. The hairline is hidden in the busy border. Appearance is excellent. The pattern is usually seen in purple, red or black. It is fairly uncommon in brown. The plate was probably made in Staffordshire around 1835.
