Manufacturer: Unknown Maker Found on a 3.25 high by 3.5 inch wide mug, this interesting pattern was made for the revival of interest in Napoleon in 1842. The bottom of the mug has the date painted under the glaze 1.8.42. The Napoleon or "Bony" is a different print on each side. The front of the mug says "Forget Me Not" in a floral cartouche, under which are the initials "D" and "B". The handle is printed with the words "Prosper" and "Freedom". There are two fine hairlines from the rim into the "Forget Me Not". Appearance is excellent.

| If you like rare historical items, this is the one for you! The mug was probably made in Staffordshire in the 1840s. |
