Circa: 1825 Manufacturer: Enoch Wood & Sons
Teapot, 6.75 inches to the top of the finial and 10.5 inches from the handle to the spout. The pattern is known as Gun Dogs, which is a name for the pointers used in hunting. The beautifully printed pattern of hunter and dogs was made by Enoch Wood & Sons (1818-1846) in Staffordshire around 1825. The appearance of the teapot is excellent, but there is a meandering crack that runs from the corner of one side, continues around above the spout, and ends at the opposite corner. The teapot is perfect for display, but certainly not for tea! Take a look at all the photos for the details. More photos can be supplied. |
