ADAMS RED TRANSFERWARE COFFEE POT THE PET Coffee Pot, 11.25 inches. This gorgeous cherry red transferware coffee pot was made by William Adams in Staffordshire around 1835. The pattern name is "The Pet". The pet of the title is a lamb with a garland of flowers residing in a tent. Other than a repair to the handle that is seen in the third photo and a line on the bottom of the pot, condition is excellent.

ASIATIC PLANTS RED TRANSFERWARE PLATTER 1835 Platter, 15 inches by 12 inches. The pattern in this series differs slightly on each size and shape. It must have been a popular pattern as it is printed in many colors; red, at least three shades of green, blue, brown, black and purple. The combination of floral center and lacy border makes the pattern look quite romantic. Condition is excellent. The platter was made in Staffordshire by William Ridgway (1830-1854).

PURPLE TRANSFERWARE CHILD'S JUG SARAH 1835 This jug is 3 inches to the top of the handle. It is printed with a different scene on each side. One side pictures a fox with a raccoon tail and the other has a boy trying to coax his dog into a box. Under the spout is the name "Sarah". The jug was probably intended as a gift. Unfortunately, "Sarah" is a bit blurred. Happily, the jug is in excellent condition. Take a look at all of the photos for the details.

The River Clyde runs through Glasgow, and thus, the patterns are views of Glasgow. Condition of this plate is excellent. It was made by John and Job Jackson in Staffordshire around 1835.

The central view varies with each size and shape. Take a look at this pattern in purple in an 8-1/2" plate in this catalog. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks or repairs. The plate was made in Staffordshire by Ralph Hall around 1835.

Dogs big enough for children to ride or pull children in carts were popular in the 19th century; dogs such as St. Bernards and Newfoundlands. The title is "The Young Cavalier". It was made in Staffordshire around 1835-1840. If you like wonderful children's plates, this is the one for you! Condition is excellent.

RIDGWAY PINK TRANSFERWARE TEAPOT 1835 This pearlware teapot is printed in either light red or pink. The Romantic Staffordshire pattern is complemented by the ruffled shape of the pot. Even the handle is frilled! There is a meandering hairline crack in the base of the pot that extends briefly into the body. It is barely visible unless you look in the pot. There is also a minor nick on the spout. There are no other cracks, chips or restoration. The lid is perfect and has the steam hole. Appearance is excellent. The teapot was probably made around 1835. Thanks to Laura Shannon, I now know the pattern name is Japonica. It was made by John Ridgway.

RED TRANSFERWARE BELZONI PLATE 1830 Hunting ostriches must be an acquired taste! This red and white 9-1/4" plate was made by Enoch Wood & Sons in Staffordshire around 1830. The pattern name is Belzoni. Each size and shape in this series has a different center scene surrounded by a border of reserves containing hunting scenes punctuated by reserves of grapes, grape leaves and flowers. Other than a small flake on the edge at about four o'clock, condition is excellent.
