SALOPIAN COW POLISHER TRANSFER COFFEE POT Coffee pot, 10 inches high. Variously known as the Cow Polisher or Burnishing a Cow, this pattern features a charming country scene decorated with underglaze polychrome known to Americans as Salopian. The print is also found in blue and white transferware. It is hard to tell what the man is using to polish or groom the cow. Other than a tiny hairline near the finial, condition is excellent.

CHELSEA PURPLE SPRIGGED JUG WITH DATE 1828 The style of this 7" porcelain jug is known as Chelsea. It is decorated with lilac-purple flowers and leaves, as well as beads around the base. The handle and spout are outlined in black. The name, "Lenis, Taylor" and the date, "1828" are also painted in black. There is an extraordinary flourish under the date. It is possible that the jug was given as a wedding present. Other than a line in the base, that cannot be seen when the jug is standing, condition is excellent. NEW HALL PORCELAIN TEAPOT BOY & BUTERFLY 1820 Made by New Hall around 1820, this porcelain teapot is painted with a pattern known as Boy and Butterfly. The lovely silver-shaped teapot is in excellent condition. Other than minor roughness to the end of the spout, there are no chips, cracks or repairs. Take a look at all of the photos for the details. The pattern number is painted on the bottom of the pot. The steam hole is at the top of the finial!

GREEN GLAZED STAFFORDSHIRE CRADLE 1790 This green glazed pearlware cradle was made in Staffordshire around 1790 to be used as a container for either a wedding or baby gift. It is 4" long, 2" wide and 2-1/2" high. The molded pattern looks like a hooded wicker cradle. The cradle is being sold "as is" as there are cracks and chips. Amazingly, appearance is very good. FEATHER EDGE PEARLWARE PLATTER 1820 Possibly made in the Leeds area, this circa 1820s pearlware platter with a lovely blue painted molded rim is know as Feather Edge. I have been told the proper name is Shell Edge but "what's in a name"! The platter is 16-3/4" by 13-1/2" . Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration. The design is so simple and elegant that it would fit in with modern as well as country decor. Take a look at all of the photos for the details.

PEARLWARE SPONGED CRADLE WITH BABY 1820 This charming 3-1/2" by 1-1/4" by 1/1/2" pearlware cradle was made as a baby gift in the early 1800's. The cradle is sponged in dark pink and blue and the baby's gown has dark pink decoration. The coverlet that surrounds the baby is dark green. These little cradles were probably made as baby gifts. They certainly make wonderful baby gifts today. I gave one to my daughter-in-law when she bacame pregnant. As she had triplets, I should have given her three! Other than a good repair to the hood of the cradle, condition is excellent.
